Planning your Christmas visit
Here are a few tips about parts of the farm to help make your visit to Blithbury Reindeer Lodge even more magical this Christmas.
If you do have any special requirements please let us know, there is a ‘Special requirements’ box on the booking page. We can cater to a variety of dietary requirements provided we know in advance.
Blithbury Reindeer lodge is fully accessible for wheelchair users, there is more information on our FAQ’s page.
Bring confirmations with you
Although it’s not essential, if you can bring your email confirmation you received at the time of booking with you on the day of your visit it will speed up the booking in process.
We do not issue tickets for any of our events; your email confirmation is all you need!
It may also sound obvious but please double check that you are planning to visit on the date you have booked- we have experienced people arriving on the wrong day.
Please also note that the time you have booked is your slot for Elf School & Santa it is NOT your arrival time. We suggest that arrive at the lodge at least 20 minutes prior to Elf School time.
Wrap up warm
Most of the activities which take place on the lodge are outside so please ensure that all of your party are wrapped up warm!!
The farm can feel very cold and over the winter months and while it is ideal for the reindeer, it can feel very cold for young visitors! Blithbury Reindeer Lodge is surrounded by open countryside and it always feels several degrees colder here than the surrounding towns and villages. A Snowsuit would be perfect for little ones and boots are better than wellies in terms of keeping little feet warm.
Arrive at the right time
This is the most important tip to ensure you get the most out of your visit and that you get the chance to enjoy all the activities we have to offer. The timeslot that you have booked is for your visit to Elf School from which you will be called through from to see Santa.
Please ensure you arrive at the Lodge at least 20 minutes before your time slot for Elf School to allow time for parking and booking in. If you miss your Elf School slot, we will try to squeeze you into another, however, this is not guaranteed and a late arrival may result in you being unable to attend Elf School and see Santa.
Your booked slot might be at the start or end of our opening hours so please make sure you plan your visit carefully to ensure you don’t miss out on any of the activities. If your slot is near the end of our closing time we ask that you arrive to complete all the other activities before your Elf School Visit.
You will be not be able to enter the site prior to the time stated as our opening time for that day, as we are a working farm. Equally visitors will be asked to leave the site after our closing time.
As a nation we are famous for queuing, but there is no need to queue for Elf School
You only need to arrive at the entrance to Elf School a few minutes before your time slot. There is no need to queue as everyone in the same time slot will be ticked off the register together.
Although there will be other families joining you in your Elf School class, your meeting with Santa will be just those who are part of your booking (max 5 people).
You can see the opening times for the date of your visit here.
On site we have the independently run Blithbury Vintage Tearoom. Only food purchased in the tearoom can be consumed in the tearoom. The tearoom does accommodate gluten and diary free options if you wish to make any prior arrangements please contact Kelly directly on 07879775960.
Additionally we serve hot and cold drinks and snacks from the bar in the barn located opposite the roaring log fire.
To finish you day out there are several places locally where you can enjoy a meal before heading home:
Terrazza (Italian): www.terrazzarugeley.co.uk 01889 570630
In the shop we accept both cash and credit cards. There is a minimum credit/debit card spend of £10.
Enjoy the Festive Atmosphere
We actively encourage all our visitors to be ready to spread festive cheer during their visit. We love to see any festive jumpers, hat and gloves; fully embrace the Christmas Festive Period and make lovely family memories.
